Every skill I have I picked up because I was curious about something, and every one of them fed the next. Here it is in order — a book you can turn, page by page.

It started the way it starts for a lot of people: a computer, and games I wasn't supposed to be playing. Then the internet arrived properly, and the machine stopped being a toy and became a door.
I was an active, loud child everywhere except in one place — with a book. Reading alone did something to me that nothing else did. It handed me other people's perspectives and quietly built the way I think.
The door opened onto a question: what could I actually make with this thing?
Video editing · YouTube · a former life
The answer, for a while, was video. Editing was the first skill I taught myself off the internet, and it turned into freelance work and then a YouTube channel that changed more than I expected.
It taught me to write a script, hold an audience and say a thing clearly. I don't do it any more — the channel and the edits are an archive now — but somewhere in all that timeline-scrubbing I noticed the software was more interesting to me than the footage.
So I put the timeline down and picked up a syllabus.
Jewel's Oxford International School & College
Twelve years at one school, ending with O-Levels that went well. I was vice-president of the basketball club, volunteered for every school function I could find, and won a fair share of school tournaments along the way.
Then I went back to the same school on the other side of the desk — teaching physics and chemistry, writing lesson plans and learning the thing that has stuck with me longest: you don't really understand something until you have to explain it.
Explaining things well turned out to be portable. So did leaving home.
SEGi University, Kota Damansara, Malaysia
I moved abroad for a Foundation in Science and finished my last semester on a 3.68 CGPA. Physics, chemistry, mathematics, computing — and a much harder syllabus in living alone in a country that wasn't mine.
I joined the Student Representative Council, campaigned in the 2024 presidential election, helped run the university orientation, volunteered on donation drives and tree-planting, and coordinated the Career to Campus fair. I also worked evening shifts to pay for it. It was a full year.
A full year, and still not enough. I wanted something that was mine.
Fesco — a cosmetics e-commerce, Malaysia
So alongside the studying in Malaysia I started my own small e-commerce selling cosmetic products. I ran all of it myself: sourcing, marketing, sales, customer messages, the lot.
It taught me the unglamorous half of building things — setting a goal, measuring whether you actually hit it, and making the next decision from data rather than from hope. When the foundation programme ended I closed it down and flew home.
Home in Bangladesh, with a year of hard lessons and nothing yet to spend them on.
Medium · a few articles, and counting
Reading eventually turned into writing. I've published a handful of articles on Medium so far — I'm a beginner at this and I'd rather say so than pretend otherwise.
But it's already the sharpest thinking tool I own. If I can't write an idea down clearly, I've found I don't understand it yet. That test has saved me more times in code than it has in prose.
And what I most wanted to explain clearly was the thing I was building.
websthan.online · an agency in Dhaka
Websthan is the agency I founded in Dhaka: web design and digital marketing. It stopped being a one-man operation quickly — now I lead the tech team, decide the business strategy, and stay the person clients actually talk to.
In the same stretch I started teaching IELTS at Delta Academy and was named their Best Mentor. Running a team, keeping a client happy and teaching a class turn out to use the same muscle: understand the person in front of you, then deliver.
Delivering well got easier. Then I found the problem I actually wanted to spend years on.
BSc Computer Science & Engineering, UCSI University — Bangladesh campus
I'm now reading Computer Science & Engineering, and my focus has narrowed to one thing: artificial intelligence and machine learning. Not as a buzzword — as mathematics I want to actually hold in my head.
Python, the fundamentals of neural networks, the linear algebra and statistics underneath them, and the engineering discipline to turn a working notebook into something people can use. Cybersecurity sits next to it as the discipline that keeps what I build honest.
Which brings the whole thing up to today.
Still being written
Every chapter here was a skill I picked up because I was curious, and every one of them fed the next. Editing taught me patience, YouTube taught me to communicate, business taught me to measure, teaching taught me to explain, writing taught me to think.
All of it now points at code. I want to build AI systems that are genuinely useful, keep Websthan growing, and keep leaving a trail of things I made. If you have something worth building, the last chapter of this book is a contact form.
Education, work and the volunteering in between — most of it overlapping, because it usually was.
Reading CSE at UCSI's Bangladesh campus, with a self-directed focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Building fluency across Python, Java and C++, algorithm design and systems thinking.
Founded and run a web design and digital marketing agency in Dhaka. Manage the team, set business strategy, lead technical delivery and own client relationships — while still building on the front end.
Teach IELTS Academic across Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Build lesson plans and practice material, coach exam strategy and academic writing.
Finished the Foundation in Science, closed Fesco and came home. Everything since — Websthan, teaching, and the CSE degree — has been built from Bangladesh.
Coordinated the university career fair: event logistics, guiding students and employers, and keeping communication running between both sides.
Charity events and donation drives, campus orientation support for new international students, and environmental campaigns including tree planting and recycling.
Campaigned in the 2024 SEGi Representative Council presidential election — engaging students, supporting candidates and pushing student representation.
Started and ran a small cosmetics e-commerce solo while studying in Malaysia: sourcing, marketing, sales and operations. Learned goal-setting, measurement and data-driven decisions. Wound it down at the end of the foundation programme.
Evening shifts alongside full-time study — customer service, register operations, inventory monitoring and store standards.
